“I have struggled with control my entire life. Even through my Christan journey there have been times when I have been scared, confused, and felt very much alone. Through this workshop I realized the root of my issue was my perspective. I had been focused on my needs, feeling and what I could do to be secure. The way Beth explained the scriptures it really took us back in time, I felt like I was there with Jesus. The small group discussion questions helped me define who and what Jesus is to me. As I went through this process I really embraced the importance of not getting wrapped up in me and my personal journey. To focus more on the fact that I can’t see the whole picture, but God can. Daily now I remember to remind myself to lift my eyes up, off myself, and fix them on my Lord. There is a bigger picture!!”
